"Building Balanced Leaders for the World's Communities."
The Ohio Zeta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded in 1948 at Baldwin Wallace University as the 6th SigEp chapter to be established in the state of Ohio. Within the brotherhood lies a diverse group of men that help to create an overall experience which helps each brother grow and develop. Through a continuous member development process, brothers ready themselves for the professional world, as well as providing them with some of the best experiences they will have in college.
What makes SigEp unique is that each brother has his own identity within the chapter. Brothers are resident assistants, athletes, pre-med students, bilingual speakers, classically trained musicians, members of the student government, and officers on the Interfraternity Council, just to name a few. Through our guiding principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love, SigEp men balance all aspects of the Baldwin Wallace and SigEp experiences. The fraternity believes that individuals should lead virtuous lives and always strive for excellence. Brothers are diligent in all pursuits and undertakings. With this, each brother is there to support the other free of judgment.

No Pledging. No Hazing. The brotherhood does not have a pledging system. Instead, each member is a full brother from day one and follows the Balanced Man Program. The Balanced Man Program (BMP) is a four-year, continuous development program centered on the Balanced Man ideal. The program seeks to build positive habits and key life skills through mentoring and experiential learning. The BMP matures and evolves as the brother’s needs progresses in college. It helps a man adjust to college life, gives him skills to succeed in college, and prepares him for life after undergraduate study. Using self-reflection, discussion, evaluation, and goal setting, Sigma Phi Epsilon's Balanced Man Program improves the overall quality of the college experience for its members. |
